MIS Welcomes Winter With Its Annual Winter Arts Festival

The MIS Arts Department, led by teacher Sher Taylor, did it again this year with the much-loved Winter Arts Festival, a festive celebration of the winter season, student creativity, and community.

At the heart of this warm and joyful event was student work. Hallways buzzed with energy as student vendors sold an impressive array of handcrafted gifts and creations, from 3D-printed trinkets (complete with a live demonstration of the printer in action!) to painted pottery and hand-loomed knits. The talent and creativity on display were truly inspiring, with no shortage of unique and thoughtfully made items to admire.

In addition to student vendors, local artisans joined the festival, sharing their crafts and adding to the vibrant marketplace atmosphere. Music and melodies from renaissance performers filled the air, further enhancing the festive spirit and bringing the event to life. As families and shoppers wandered the halls, they were guided by the aroma of cookies, pies, cakes, and sweet treats leading them to the bake sale.

We extend our sincere thanks to the generous sponsors who donated items for our raffle. Excited winners received prizes from:
Atlanta Botanical Garden
Easy Going Sewing
BURN Boot Camp – Druid Hills
Kupcakerie
Mrs. DuCharme
Publix
Renegade Roots: Thai Boxing
MomoCon
Warby Parker

We are deeply grateful to the parents, family members, and community supporters who volunteered their time, donated to the event, and contributed to the ever-popular bake sale. Their generosity and support helped make this year’s Winter Arts Festival a wonderful success and a memorable experience for all.
